Hostels FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

* What is a Hostel, Youth Hostel, or Backpackers?

A Hostel is a house that provides cheap food and lodging for a specific group of people, such as backpackers, students, workers, or travelers. The essence of a Hostel is to: provide a friendly, sociable, comfortable and cheap environment for travellers. Most guests will spend their time in the social areas of the hostels instead of their rooms.

* What is a Dorm or Dormitory?

A dorm (short form for dormitory) is a room with several beds (often bunk-beds), all of which can be booked individually by different guests of a hostel.

It is also called a shared room, since you share the room with other guests. Dorms can vary from 4 to 20 or more beds, and some hostels have separate dorms for males and females, while others do not make a difference and offer mixed dorms.

* Do I have to Bring a Towel?

Private bedrooms include towels and no cost. If you stay in a Shared Dormitory we do offer towels but we charge a small laundry fee of R$4.

* Can I cook my own meals?

We include full buffet breakfast which is served in our Beach Bar. Yes, right on the beach.

We also have a fixed menu every night. Including Pizza Party, BBQs, and more.  Ideal for people travelling on a budget and looking to socialize. Also at the Beach Bar.

All of our bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. If you stay in a shared dormitory you will share the bathroom only with the people in your room.   No bathroom sharing if you stay in a Private Bedroom.

* Is there any areas to Hang-out or Chill-out?

That's our speciality!. Hammocks, big couches, lounge with sea-view, music rolling... We have created the ideal environment to hang-out, socialize, meet people and relax. With a bit of a party atmosphere as well.  When it gets loud parties carry on across the road, at our Beach Bar.
